Amit is the business lead, responsible for strategy development, operations, financial management and partnership engagements. He previously spent 25 years in investment banking, business consulting and development practice in India, US and Switzerland. He holds a Master’s in International Development from Columbia University, New York. He is a recipient of the prestigious Opportunity Collaboration Fellowship 2022, SOCAP Entrepreneur Scholarship 2017, Echoing Green Climate Fellowship 2015, and was named as a finalist for the Waislitz Global Citizen Award 2021 and 100 Most Inspiring Social Entrepreneurs Around the World by Social Enablers in 2017. His personal goals are to use clean energy as a catalyst for economic empowerment and social justice and advocating for significantly increasing DRE&#39;s share in India’s energy mix. Dr Clementine Chambon

Clementine brings technical expertise in the cost-effective sizing, operations and maintenance of decentralised energy systems including biomass, solar PV, diesel and grid resources. She completed her PhD and postdoctoral research on second generation biofuels and then moved into techno-economic feasibility studies of energy technologies for rural electrification in South Asia. Clementine has 10 years&#39; experience as a renewable energy researcher and consultant for the Grantham Institute for Climate Change, New Climate Economy and the European Commission. She holds an M.Eng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge. She speaks French, German, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and conversational Hindi. She has gained extensive field experience working in India over the past 7 years. Clementine was selected as an Echoing Green Climate Fellow, Global Good Fund Fellow, Forbes30Under30 Social Entrepreneur, 100 Most Influential People in UK-India Relations, MIT Technology Review Innovator Under 35 and Social Innovator of the Year, Salters&#39; Institute Centenary Award winner, Chemistry World Entrepreneur of the Year, and IChemE Global Young Researcher. Audrey Fillon

Audrey is an accomplished COO with a strong background in team and project management, fundraising and business operations. She brings extensive experience in sustainability and regeneration-focused initiatives. As the co-founder of a number of regenerative initiatives in Europe, she led efforts in land restoration, network building, grassroots projects and community engagement. Audrey&#39;s work has also included consulting on EU-funded programs, focusing on sustainable agriculture and food systems. Audrey brings extensive experience leading large programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa and across the Global South on topics ranging from strengthening health systems to women’s economic empowerment. She holds an MSc in International Business Management from Kedge Business School.

Ankur Singh

Ankur is a management professional who has been working in the social impact space for six years, prior to which he spent two years in the IT sector. He has experience in on-ground implementation and program management of various government and non-government projects. Ankur&#39;s experience has been at the intersections of livelihood, gender and poverty alleviation. He has also led strategy and business development with his past organisations. Ankur is excited drive impact at scale of current and future projects at Oorja. He is a post graduate from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and a graduate in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

Bindu Trivedi

Bindu is a Chartered Accountant and DISA certified professional having over six years of experience in the fields of finance, accounting and auditing. She previously ran her own chartered accountancy firm. Bindu belongs to the small and famous holy town of Ayodhya. She was attracted to Oorja&#39;s innovative and sustainable business model which empowers farmers through social entrepreneurship. Location: Faridabad, Haryana

Praveen Alwani

Praveen Alwani has joined Oorja as a Finance Manager (fixed-term). A Chartered Accountant with a passion for financial excellence, Praveen brings a wealth of experience in managing complex financial portfolios and delivering strategic insights. With expertise spanning audit, taxation, financial management, and HR and payroll, he excels in navigating complexities while driving compliance and optimizing results.

Sejal Agarwal

Sejal Agarwal is a post-graduate from the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal and has five years of experience as a development professional. Her expertise lies in Rural Community Development, Program Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Research, and Data Analysis. During her tenure at Partnering Hope Into Action Foundation (PHIA) and the Center for Research on Innovation and Science Policy (CRISP), she acquired extensive knowledge in various areas, including women empowerment, gender equality, social inclusion, livelihood, agricultural extension and advisory services, as well as digital advisories for farmers. Through Oorja, Sejal aims to contribute to the betterment of the farming community by promoting renewable energy and addressing various challenges posed by climate change in the agricultural sector. Aditya Pandey

Aditya is a passionate engineer and problem solver who is keenly interested in improving electricity access and agricultural outcomes in rural India. Originally from New York City, Aditya has worked as a junior data scientist for Cinch (a fintech startup), as a markets analyst at Barclays&#39;s Corporate and Investment Bank, and most recently as an AI engineer/consultant for SBSF AgriTech. Aditya holds an undergraduate degree in Physics and Computer Science from New York University, where he was a recipient of the Presidential Honors Scholarship. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Intelligence from Plaksha University, in collaboration with UC Berkeley, where he finished as the Silver Medallist (2nd rank) as part of the Technology Leadership Fellowship. He is passionate about utilizing his technical expertise to address complex real-world challenges, with a particular focus on renewable energy as a catalyst for economic growth.

Sanjeet Singh

Sanjeet is a qualified electrical engineer with over six years’ experience in decentralised solar energy projects. He has previously worked in design, installation and commissioning of solar irrigation pumps and mini-grids with Claro Energy across various states of India. As lead of the Engineering team, Sanjeet is responsible for timely installation and commissioning of new projects as well as technical O&amp;M of installed systems, and he supervises other field technicians. He also oversees business development and sales for all solar projects in Bahraich district, where Oorja&#39;s operations are centered. Sanjeet completed his BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Location: Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh

Ashish Kumar Yadav

Ashish carries with him seven years of professional experience in agriculture, livelihoods, rural enterprises and sustainable development. In his past role at UP State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), he promoted, motivated and provided training to rural communities on sustainable farming and human nutrition. Ashish has strong interests in natural farming, women&#39;s empowerment, and social marketing. Ashish heads the Farmer Advisory team which delivers climate-smart advisory to improve customers&#39; yields, income, and climate resilience. He also oversees business development and sales for all solar projects in Barabanki district. Ashish completed his Master&#39;s in Environmental Science from Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences in Uttar Pradesh. Location: Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh

Satyam Sharma

Satyam brings three years of experience in the development sector, including at UPSRLM and CARE India, where he worked on the promotion and implementation of livelihood programs. He plays a leading role in analysing data for Oorja&#39;s business development function to select the most viable new solar project sites. Satyam also oversees business development and sales for all solar projects in Hardoi district. He completed his Master&#39;s in Business Administration with specialisation in rural development from the University of Allahabad. He hails from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Dr Lipsa Priyadarshini

Lipsa brings a robust blend of technical proficiency and research acumen in photovoltaic-based renewable energy. She holds both a Master&#39;s and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Shiksha O Anusandhan University, Odisha, specialising in maximum power point tracking and power quality diagnosis in hybrid microgrids using deep neural networks learning techniques. In her previous role at SELCO Foundation, Lipsa served as the technical coordinator for the Odisha team, where she managed site selection, implementation, site surveys, and energy audits. She conducted extensive research on agri-based technologies and designed solar systems to enhance energy access and livelihood development. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in stakeholder training and post-installation operational monitoring. Lipsa is eager to further develop her expertise with Oorja. Outside of her professional endeavors, she is passionate about art and crafts, engaging in various forms of creative expression.

Argha Ghose

Argha is a writer and communicator with over three years of experience in the higher education and social impact domains. He is passionate about society, culture, social impact, and sustainability, and writes on these subjects extensively. He has previously worked with a few community and educational organisations, and has explored subjects like microfinance, migrant labour rehabilitation, and affordable housing. He holds a Master&#39;s diploma in Communications and is pursuing a distance Master&#39;s in Development Studies. For him, Oorja is a platform that gives him the opportunity to delve deeper into a cause that needs immediate action. With her passion for using data-driven insights to create meaningful change, Hridya will play a key role in our mission to foster sustainable development for underserved communities.

Shraddha Gupta

Shraddha focuses on data collection and digitalisation for new project, customer and payment data and acts as the Admin Assistant for Nanpara. She has five years&#39; experience, including previously working as a Computer Assistant in the tax office of the Nagar Palika (Municipality) of Jaunpur and has also conducted surveys for the National Health Mission. Shraddha has a BSc in Biology from VBS Purvanchal University of Jaunpur. Location: Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh

He previously towards providing agricultural training, post harvesting technology training, women and child development training and mobilising farmers to adopt new farming techniques and to reduce the use of chemical inputs. Alok completed his B.A. in Geography from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University in 2018.
